So we have posted the poll above because Matt and I can't quite come to an agreement on Ella's middle name. Hopefully all two of you who look at our blog can help us out.
The name Ella comes from my grandmother who we lost last summer. Her name was Eloise and she was one of the most amazing women I know. She knew I was going to name my little girl after her one day so when she began her battle with cancer she decided to make each grandchild a baby afghan for her future great grandchildren. Everyone's was neutral colors except she made mine pink for Ella.

ReplyDeleteAwww...I know Eloise would love Ella as a namesake. I have another recommendation. What about Ella Rose Rose for Rosalyn. Just a thought. But I love both of those names.

I remember when I babysat you( and your mom always had me fix your's and Haley's hair before EVERY dance recital, and there were plenty of those!). I haven't seen you in forever, but do ask your mom and dad about you when I am back in Mississippi visiting. I loved Miss Eloise and think the name Ella is beautiful. I really like the middle name of Grace so that will be my pick on your little poll. Hope all is well and look forward to hearing from you soon. (Please tell me that you haven't forgotten who I am...I found the link to your blog through Adelia...now that she finally got herself on the blogger scene).

I personally think you should name her Ella Sara, after your most favorite person in the whole wide world. And I agree with Christi, you should name her UMBR Ella Ella ella!

ReplyDeleteYour paternal grandmother's middle name was Katharine so I vote for Ella Katharine, one name from both grandmothers! I know you don't remember Mamaw McPhail because she died when you were very young, but you were very special to her.
ReplyDeleteI vote Ella Katherine. Both were amazing ladies. Morgan you have the best traits from both of these women, and I know my precious granddaughter will, too. Mamaw Blackwell is smiling down and jumping with joy. I can't wait to meet my little Ella Katherine.
